| Corporate Overview |
| Founded in 1917 as an iron and steel scrap dealer. The Buncher Company is a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based, privately-held company. Throughout its history, its credo has been that if someone has a specific or unusual requirement, The Buncher Company will expend its energy and resources to answer the challenge. By following this principal, it became a leader in demolition and salvage, slag reclamation and an operator of coal transfer facilities on two rivers. Continuing its evolution, The Buncher Company has emerged as a forerunner in various service-oriented businesses such as reconditioning and recycling of railroad car parts and components; operators of full service railroad car repair facilities; railcar and equipment leasing; intermodal materials transfer facilities and metal trading. But perhaps its most significant endeavor was to enter into the commercial industrial realestate development field where it was the first to establish an industrial park in the Pittsburgh region.
